Benefits
With the concentration of adapalene, some users of differin have reported a cessation in their acne over a period of generally 3 to 6 months at a time. However, it depends on the user. Some have reported no benefits at all.
Side Effects
Side effects generally include those such as redness, itchiness, dryness, irritation, and peeling. However, some have also reported a worsening of their acne symptoms, and even those who have gotten rid of acne seem to report the skin damaging side effects.
Conclusion
While Differin is definitely a proven prescription acne treatment, it is not necessarily worth the costs. Users have generally reported that it costs around $250 per bottle, and with all the side effects and in some cases, worsening of acne, we think there is something better.

My dermatologist put me on Differin 0.03 and was told to give it 6 weeks, but after reading reviews I decided try it for 8 because it could take a while to work. Well it never did. It made my acne sooo much worse--it was horrible! Worst acne of my life! Do not waste your time with this one!”

I use it and I still break out as much as when I was not using it and it doesn\\\'t do any thing to the break outs that are already. It doesn\'t reduce the inflamation. It does nothing”
